Just how smart are animals?

I think some animals are very smart. 

Elephants

In the text an elephant dragged a box of fruit to
the tree as he could not reach it.
Once he dragged it to the tree he was able to
stand on which broke the box then he could eat the fruit. 

Bonobo Apes are also smart. In the text he grabbed a stick,
peeled off the leaves and waited until insects climbed on it.
When the insects climbed on it the orangutan ate them. 

I think only some animals are smart because some
are not really thinking about their task and just fail.
Whereas other animals think about it and problem solve.

I did blue because it is my favorite color. My eye is an apple because I like them. The top bit is a Cymbol because I play drums.
